AT A GLANCE:
Consumers in California, Illinois, and New York who purchased a Weber metal wire bristle grill brush between 2011 and 2026.
Weber-Stephen Products LLC has recalled over 3.2 million metal wire bristle grill brushes because small metal bristles can detach and end up in food.
Detached bristles can be swallowed accidentally, posing a risk of serious internal injuries that may require medical treatment or surgery. You may be entitled to compensation if you purchased one of the recalled brushes.
Weber-Stephen Products LLC, based in Palatine, Illinois, has recalled more than 3.2 million metal wire bristle grill brushes.
The issue involves small metal bristles that can break off during use. These bristles may stick to the grill surface or to food prepared on the grill without being visible.
If swallowed, the metal bristles can cause internal injuries and, in some reported cases, have required surgical intervention. The brushes were sold nationwide from 2011 through 2026 at major retailers including Lowe’s, Home Depot, Ace Hardware, Target, Amazon, and Weber.com, and have also appeared on resale platforms such as eBay.
