Certain attic stairway ladders sold under the Louisville, Featherlite, Lite & Century brand names have been recalled. The affected aluminum and wood-frame ladders use gas struts and fold into the attic when not in use.
The recall was issued because bolts on the affected ladders can break during use, potentially causing the ladder to fail and creating a serious fall hazard.
Now, attorneys are looking into whether consumers who paid for affected ladders may be entitled to monetary compensation. If you purchased one in California, Illinois, or New York, take our quick survey to see if you may qualify.
